What's new

New on PDFCommunity, month by month.

The tools and improvements you will notice, in short. Small fixes are left out. Everything still works the same way: in your own browser, with no file uploads.

October 2026

  1. More options in the tools you use most

Split a PDF every few pages, give page numbers a size, colour and page range, choose the colour, size and opacity of a watermark (and on which pages), set orientation and margins for JPG to PDF (or one PDF per photo), save pages as PNG, and type your signature in a handwriting style. Redact now also finds text nobody can see, such as hidden layers, white text and comments, so it really goes.

  2. Now also in Polish

PDFCommunity is now available in Polish too: every tool, the help page and all guides. That makes eight languages.

  3. Smoother while converting

While a PDF becomes a PowerPoint, Word or Excel file, the page keeps responding and Cancel stops almost straight away. Text and buttons also jump less while the page loads, on Android too.

  4. Choose light or dark yourself

A new button at the bottom of every page, next to the language, switches between automatic (follows your device), light and dark. Your choice is only remembered in this browser.

  5. Now also in Italian

PDFCommunity is now available in Italian too: every tool, the help page and four guides. That makes seven languages.

  6. Password-protected PDFs work in every tool

A PDF that needs a password to open no longer has to be unlocked first: type its password in the tool and go on. The password stays in your browser and is forgotten after the job.

  7. Smaller files when compressing slides and reports

Photos are now kept at the sharpness they are shown at on the page, so a lecture deck with photos often becomes several times smaller. Strong can also shrink print-colour (CMYK) photos.

  8. Organize the pages of a PDF

See every page of your PDF and put them in the right order: move or drag pages, rotate the ones that are sideways, delete what you don't need and add blank pages.

  9. Four new tools

Crop pages (with your own margins or by trimming the white edges), see and remove the hidden information in a PDF (author, dates, software), save the text as a .txt file, and get every picture out of a PDF.

  10. PDF to PowerPoint keeps much more of your slides

Bold and italic text, formulas and matrices, tables with their borders, charts, arrows and pictures now come out much closer to the original, and the text stays editable.

  11. Practical guides in Dutch and French

Step-by-step help for common situations, such as a PDF that is too large for a school platform or signing without a printer.

  12. Several pages on one sheet

Print 2, 4, 6 or 9 pages per sheet, or 3 slides with lines for your notes. The pages stay sharp.

  13. Compressing in the background, with a Cancel button

A large PDF no longer freezes the page while it is being compressed, and Cancel stops it right away.

  14. PNG to PDF, and an app on your home screen

Screenshots and graphics become a PDF without losing quality. On a phone you can add PDFCommunity to your home screen.

September 2026

  1. PDF to Excel and signing a PDF

Turn tables into an editable spreadsheet, and draw or upload your signature and place it on the page.

  2. Protect and unlock with a password

Add a strong password (AES-256) to a PDF, or remove one you know.

  3. Handier after every tool

Suggestions for the next step, a watermark with your own logo, a page choice for PDF to JPG, and page thumbnails when you split, rotate or remove pages.

  4. Works offline, and a meter that shows your files aren't uploaded

Once visited, the tools also work without internet. While a tool works, a meter shows that 0 bytes of your files leave your device.

  5. Four more tools

Extract pages, add a watermark, turn photos into a PDF and save PDF pages as JPG images.

  6. In six languages

PDFCommunity is now available in English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
