Writing about PDFCommunity? Here you will find the key facts, descriptions you can copy, logos and screenshots.
What is PDFCommunity?
PDFCommunity is a free website with everyday PDF tools: merge, compress, split and rotate PDFs, put several pages on one sheet, convert them to Word, PowerPoint or Excel, convert between JPG and PDF, add page numbers or a watermark, delete or extract pages, sign, and add or remove a password. Everything runs in the visitor's own web browser. Files aren't uploaded to a server.
Why it exists
Most online PDF tools send your document to a server, process it there and send it back. You have to trust that it is deleted afterwards. PDFCommunity takes a different approach: a modern browser is powerful enough to do the work itself, so files aren't uploaded. Anyone can check this in their own browser.
Who it is for
- Students who merge course notes and slides, or shrink a thesis to email it.
- Healthcare workers who handle documents with patient data.
- Accountants and small businesses who bundle invoices and contracts.
- Anyone who wants a quick PDF tool without an account, a daily limit or an upload.
No sign-up, no daily limit and no watermark on the result.
All processing happens in the browser. Files aren't uploaded.
English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Polish.
Descriptions you can use
PDFCommunity is a free set of PDF tools that runs entirely in your browser, so your files aren't uploaded.
PDFCommunity (pdfcommunity.org) is a free website with everyday PDF tools, from merging and compressing to converting PDFs to Word, PowerPoint or Excel. It processes files entirely in the visitor's own browser: documents aren't uploaded to a server, which makes it a good fit for confidential files such as contracts, invoices or medical records. There is no account and no daily limit, and most tools keep working offline after a first visit to the tool. PDFCommunity is an independent project from Belgium, launched in 2026 and available in eight languages.
