How to rotate PDF pages and save them

    1

    Choose your files

Add one or more PDFs, choose 90° to the right, 90° to the left or 180°, and enter page numbers if only some pages need turning.

    2

    Only the orientation changes

Each page gets a new rotation setting in the file. The content isn't redrawn, so bookmarks, links and form fields stay exactly as they were.

    3

    Download instantly

Download the turned PDF. The rotation is saved in the file itself, so the pages stay upright in every PDF viewer.

    Tips for rotating PDFs

Choose by how the page looks now

Rotation adds to the current orientation: a page that is already turned 90° ends up at 180° after another 90° clockwise. Pick the direction that fixes what you see on screen.

Tap the pages that are sideways

With one PDF you see its pages: tap the ones that need turning and only those are rotated. With nothing selected, every page turns.

    Rotate first, then number

Rotate before you add page numbers, a watermark or a signature. Those tools place their text upright on the page as you see it, so the right order keeps everything readable.

    Honest about the limits

Rotating turns whole pages in steps of 90 degrees. It can't straighten a scan that is slightly crooked.

    Questions about rotating PDFs

How do I rotate a PDF for free?

Drop one or more PDFs into the tool above, choose 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, or 180°, and click Rotate. The rotated file downloads right away, or as a zip if you rotated several files at once.

Does rotating apply to every page?

By default, yes: the same rotation is applied to every page of the file. To rotate only some pages, type them in the field "Only these pages" (for example 1, 3-5).

Will rotating reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Rotating only changes each page's orientation — the page content itself is never redrawn or recompressed, so quality stays exactly the same.

Can I rotate multiple PDFs at once?

Yes. Add several files and they're all rotated the same way in one go, collected in a single zip download.

Do I need to install anything to rotate a PDF?

No. Rotating happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript — there's nothing to install and no account to create.

Why does my PDF open sideways, and is the fix permanent?

Usually the page was scanned or saved sideways. Rotate it 90° left or right here: the new orientation is stored in the file itself, so it opens the right way in every PDF reader and on every device.

    Important to know

Conversion to Word or PowerPoint happens automatically. With complex layouts (tables, multiple columns), the order of text may differ from the original — always check the result yourself before using it for an exam, official document, or any other purpose where accuracy matters.
