Several pages of your PDF on each sheet, ready to print

Guideline: up to 50 MB works well on most devices; for larger files a computer is more reliable than a phone. Check for yourself that your files aren't uploaded

How to put several pages on one sheet

    1

    Choose your PDF

Drag it into the tool or click to browse. Your file isn't uploaded: your browser reads it itself.

    2

    Pick a layout

2, 4, 6 or 9 pages per sheet, or 3 slides with lines for notes. Paper size, orientation and order are up to you.

    3

    Print or save

The new PDF is ready on your own device. Every page stays sharp and its text can still be selected.

    Tips for pages per sheet

    A frame around each page

Tick the frame option to draw a thin grey border around every page. That helps when slides have a white background and would otherwise run into each other.

    Mixed page sizes fit too

Every page is scaled to fit its own place on the sheet and centred, as you see it in your reader, so a landscape slide between portrait pages still fits.

    Names that say what's inside

The result is called name-4-per-sheet.pdf, or name-handout.pdf for the notes layout, and the result line shows how many pages went on how many sheets.

    Honest about the limits

This tool places your pages on new sheets: links, bookmarks and form fields no longer work in the result, although filled-in values stay visible. Keep the original for anything you still need to click or fill in.

Questions about multiple pages per sheet

How do I put multiple pages of a PDF on one sheet?

Drop your PDF into the tool above, choose how many pages go on each sheet (2, 4, 6 or 9, or 3 with lines for notes) and click Make sheets. The new PDF downloads right away and is ready to print.

Can I make a hand-out with lines for notes, like PowerPoint does?

Yes. Choose "3 + notes": every sheet gets three pages on the left and ruled lines on the right, so you can write next to each slide.

    Do the pages stay sharp?

Yes. The pages are not turned into pictures: they are placed on the sheet as they are, so text stays sharp at any zoom and can still be selected and searched.

In what order are the pages placed?

Left to right, then top to bottom, the way you read. Choose "Down, then across" to fill each column first.

Can I choose A4 or Letter, portrait or landscape?

Yes. Choose A4 or US Letter. With "Automatic", the orientation that prints the first page largest is picked for all sheets; you can also choose portrait or landscape yourself.

What happens to highlights, comments and form fields?

Highlights, comments and filled-in form fields are drawn on the sheet the way your PDF reader shows them. Links and form fields do not stay clickable or editable.

How do I print 2 or 4 pages on one sheet?

Choose 2 or 4 per sheet, pick the paper size and click Make sheets. Print the new PDF at actual size (100%), not "fit to page", so the pages keep their proportions.
